Annie has been practicing in the area of technology licensing since 1991, and has expertise in all areas of both in- and out-bound licensing. From 1991-1996, she was the only technology licensing attorney at PG&E, where she managed all contractual, licensing and other intellectual property issues for technology development and acquisition, telecommunications, and construction projects, with budgets in excess of $500 million. From 1996 to 1997, Annie served as acting General Counsel for Network General Corporation (acquired by McAfee), where she was responsible for drafting and negotiating all technology licensing agreements for network fault management and security products. From 1997 to 1999, Annie was the senior licensing attorney at Netscape Communications, and was responsible for complex technology and content licensing matters. Since 1999, Annie has been working with a wide variety of technology companies as a contractor/solo attorney with a specialization in technology licensing. Clients have included Microsoft (WebTV Networks), Niku, Inc. (software), Redback Networks (broadband), and WorkSpot, Inc. (software). Annie received her J.D. in 1991 from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, and her A.B. in English from Stanford University in 1988.
