Growing up in the Bay Area, it’s almost impossible not to develop a love of the outdoors. For Cheryl Guerin – a fearless skier, adventurous backwoods camper and skilled angler – this passion is part of the reason she moved to Bozeman, Montana several years ago. An expert in employment law with two young children and an enthusiasm for challenging work, Cheryl found the flexible work-life balance and dynamic client base Paragon offered to be a perfect fit. She joined the team in 2008, and works remotely for Netflix as senior corporate counsel for employment matters.
Cheryl brings more than 17 years of experience in employment law to Paragon. After beginning her career as a labor and employment associate for top San Francisco law firm Morrison & Foerster, she moved on to become deputy compliance and ethics officer and senior corporate counsel for the Oracle Corporation. Cheryl is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of employment law and corporate policy – discrimination, compensation, compliance and ethics, terminations and reductions in force, trade secrets, wage and hour compliance, employee misconduct investigations – and she has worked on several large discrimination consent decrees. She received her B.S. from UCLA and her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, Order of the Coif – in the top 1% of her class.
