Fred has over eight years experience in licensing and technology transactions. Fred has expertise in a wide range of transactions including in-bound and out-bound technology licensing, reseller, distribution, OEM, professional services, ASP, alliance, development, vendor, and partnership agreements. He served as corporate counsel at Avant Corporation (acquired by Synopsys, Inc.) from 1999 to 2001 and Adobe Systems Incorporated from 2001 to 2005. Fred was an alliances licensing attorney with Mercury Interactive Corp., an enterprise testing software and managed services provider (acquired by Hewlett-Packard) from 2005 to 2006. Fred has provided on-demand corporate counsel services to technology companies such as Google Inc., Kineto Wireless (supplier of Unlicensed Mobile Access technology), and TriCipher, Inc. (security software). Fred received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992, and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1997.
