Paragon - Attorneys - Mae O'Malley

Mae is the founder and managing attorney of Paragon Legal. Mae has a decade of experience in the fields of IP and technology transactions. She started her career as an IP litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster SF and Tokyo where she worked from 1998-2000. She then went in-house as corporate counsel at Evolve Software from 2000-2001. She was corporate counsel for Escalate, Inc. from 2001-2004 before joining Sygate Technologies, Inc. as Director of Legal Affairs in 2004. Mae led the legal side of Sygate's acquisition by Symantec Corporation in 2005, and remained with Symantec as senior corporate counsel until founding Paragon Legal in 2006. Mae received her J.D. from the University of California Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law in 1998, and her A.B. in Political Science with honors from Stanford University. Mae's vision for Paragon is to create a win-win for attorneys and companies by leveraging the talents of seasoned attorneys seeking a more flexible practice to provide in-house legal groups with a powerful tool to scale resources as-needed.
